Motorist strikes deer in Lebanon Township

Lebanon Township Police Report

– Juan Perez, 37, of Budd Lake, was traveling southbound on Route 513 on Monday, Nov. 2, when a deer entered the roadway and was struck, police said.



The accident occurred at about 7:41 a.m. south of Butternut Road.

Perez suffered a minor hand injury and was treated at the scene by responding rescue personnel, police said. No summons was issued.

 

• Patrick Wireko, 45, of Washington, was traveling south on Route 31 when a deer entered the roadway and was struck, police said. The accident occurred at 12:07 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 4.

No injuries were reported, and the vehicle was driven from the scene.

Providing Alcohol

To Minors

Ian Friend-Kanter, 21, of Lebanon Township, responded to police headquarters at 12:53 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29, and was served with a criminal complaint for serving/providing alcohol to a minor, police said.

It is alleged that on Friday, Oct. 16, that Friend-Kanter purchased a 30-pack of Coors Light beer and a bottle of Jagermeister, police said. He subsequently gave it to a juvenile female who lives in the township, police said.

Upon completion of processing, Friend-Kanter was released with a scheduled court date of Nov. 24 at the North Hunterdon Municipal Court, police said.

Accidents

Stacey Kratochvil, 43, of Washington, was traveling eastbound on Penwell Road at about 2:44 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17, when she lost control of her vehicle and went off the left said of the roadway, striking a rock, police said.

No injuries were reported, and the vehicle was driven from the scene, police said.

Kratochovil told police that a dark colored Jeep Liberty entered her lane of travel, causing her vehicle to leave the roadway, police said.

 

• Jesse Karpavage, 18, of Lebanon Township, was traveling west on Penwell Road at about 3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15, and lost control of his vehicle while negotiating a curve, police said. While attempting to gain control, he ran off the left side of the roadway. The car struck an embankment and rolled over on its roof, police said.

Karpavage was not injured in the accident, and was issued a summons for careless driving and driving an unregistered vehicle, police said. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
